the interview

First memory of Chicago?

Driving in to the city on I-90/94 for my recruiting trip to swim for Northwestern University with my parents, many, many moons ago.

How long have you been in Real Estate?

4.5 years

What's your favorite part about what you do?

Well, besides helping people achieve their dream of homeownership, I love the flexibility it affords me schedule wise. I can create a schedule that reflects my goals in all areas, giving me - gasp - some semblance of work-life balance!

What do you love most about Chicago?

I love the juxtaposition of the big city right along Lake Michigan.

What are your interests outside of work?

Working out, reading, cooking, Rupaul's Drag Race (and drag queens in general).

Favorite exercise to get beach body ready?

My trainers at Orange Shoe Personal Fitness Andersonville put me through it every day! Fully body workouts!

Favorite Chicago pizza place?

Deep dish: Gino's East, thin crust: Panino's

Favorite first date spot? I don't repeat first date spots - clearly I haven't picked the right place yet since I'm still going on them haha.

Worst date story? Hm, I may have been at fault here, but I once went on a Valentine's Day date and ended the night with someone other than who I started it with - oops!

First thing you would buy if you won the lottery (I'm talking Mega Millions here)?

A boat! I love being on the Lake. (Disclaimer: I would of course do some good first, but I went with my first "fun" purchase as the answer).

The bar is closing, where are you going for late night food? I'm rarely out after 10pm anymore, but my go-to places in college were Allende in Lincoln Park and Five Faces near the Hangge Uppe.

Real estate horror story?

The tenants had stopped gas service when they moved out in the middle of winter and my seller wasn't local. I had to shovel through legitimate 5 ft deep snow to find the gas meter for People's Gas and get in to the house to install space heaters until they could get there.

Celebrity crush?

Colton Haynes

Righty or lefty?

Righty

Yanny or Laurel?

I heard Laurel the first time I listened, and Yanny every time after that...?

Salty or sweet?

Normally salty

Zoo Lights or Christkindlmarket?

Zoo Lights

Cubs or Sox?

Cubs, but I'm truly a bandwagon fan.

Favorite neighborhood?

I love living and working in Lincoln Park, but it's hard to choose!

Ketchup on a hotdog - yes or no?

No, not even before I lived in Chicago.

Alma mater?

Northwestern University

Favorite sport to play?

I swam in college, but enjoy playing recreational kickball nowadays.

Fun fact?

I have two - 1. Before my voice changed I was featured on a Christmas album released by a pianist. Think, choir boy realness. 2. I qualified for 2012 US Olympic Swimming trials in the 200 meter butterfly.

Boxers or briefs?

Briefs!
