the interview

First memory of Chicago?

I remember coming to Chicago to see the fireworks on Fourth of July with my family. I think I was 4 or 5 at the time.

How long have you been in Real Estate?

Two and a half years.

What's your favorite part about what you do?

I love getting out and about and learning more about Chicago. I definitely learned more about Chicago and explored more places in the first year of real estate than the 4 years I spent in undergrad at DePaul.

What do you love most about Chicago?

The food scene. There are so many good restaurants and I like that I’m about 10 minutes from any kind of food that I want.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love doing crossfit, finding new music, and traveling when I can.

Favorite exercise to get beach body ready?

Definitely not my favorite exercise but if I had to pick one I would say the thruster because it’s a full body movement.

Favorite Chicago pizza place?

Tough one… I’d have to say Pizano’s

Favorite first date spot?

Kanela because it’s where me and my now fiancé had our first date. At the time she worked 7pm-7am so dinner was kinda out of the question. So I asked her out to breakfast instead. It was perfect.

Worst date story?

I don’t know if it’s bad that I don’t have any but nothing really stands out.

First thing you would buy if you won the lottery (I'm talking Mega Millions here)?

This isn’t super flashy or anything but I’d build a crossfit gym and start my own business coaching there. That equipment isn’t cheap!

The bar is closing, where are you going for late night food?

Back when I was living in Lincoln Park I’d have to say Allende on Lincoln. But now that I’m in Wicker Park I’d go with Falafel Grill or Taco Burrito Express.

Real estate horror story:

Doing showings in some not great areas when the sun was going down and having to show basements with no lights. We had to use our cell phones for light but definitely not the most comfortable of situations.

Favorite building?

Symphony Center because I love going to hear the CSO play and their hall is amazing.

Celebrity crush?

Emma Watson

Righty or lefty?

Righty with most things but lefty when it comes to batting or golf. I’m weird… I know.

Yanny or Laurel?

Team Laurel!

Salty or sweet?

Sweet 100%

Zoo Lights or Christkindlmarket?

Christkindlmarket.

Cubs or Sox?

Cubbies.

Favorite neighborhood?

Lincoln Park because it’s not far from the lake, great restaurants and bars, and you can get to most places in the city pretty fast from there.

Ketchup on a hotdog - yes or no?

Yes… don’t hate me.

Alma mater:

DePaul University

Favorite sport to play?

Golf.

A funny or embarrassing story:

Oh man, so back when I worked for DePaul’s gym, if a member brought a guest I’d have to input their email. At the time, I didn’t know that the low dash “_” was called an underscore. When the guest said their email to me I actually spelled out underscore. So… right now there are numerous emails in their database with it spelled out. Oops.

Boxers or briefs?

Boxer briefs, so both?
